The dot did not change into a butterflie, but maybe it’s because the man only saw something wrong about it instead of seeing it for what it is: a simple spot.

Makes me think of Lady Macbeth’s speech with the line “out, damned spot!” While I don’t think the character in this brickfilm necessarily murdered anyone, I think the symbolism is similar.

We all have imperfections we wish we could wash away. Even if no one else can see them, they can still bother us our entire lives.
